  1. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays boys, girls and aliens!

    Merry Christmas 2010

  2. Pickture Presents, details soon

Getting prepared to introduce something we think is a really awesome sharing event for the community of gamers out there.  And perhaps in fact for the community of everyone out there.

More details soon little aliens.  In the meantime, let it fill your mind….digest Pickture Presents.

  3. Hey Remedy call us for the Alan Wake sequel

One of my favorite games on the Xbox 360 is Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake.  It’s a game that many of you likely have heard nothing about and that’s a shame.  It has one of the best chapters to experience in recent game memory (Chapter 6) and it has some very good downloadable content that extends it beyond the final game.

I suppose though you’ll be checking it out after this though right?  So we’ll be looking for our check in the mail Remedy. (wink)

Anyway, IGN had an interesting story that revolved around marketing and how it could be ineffective.  Alan Wake suffered from quite a few marketing blunders and none perhaps more critical than its release date.  Why would they release it next to one of the year’s most anticipated titles?  It’s about proper strategy people.

“I think we could have benefited from maybe being able to have an even crisper communication of what the game does,” says Remedy’s Matias, “and we should have probably backed that up with stronger advertising about what’s unique about this game.””

Don’t worry Matias, if you guys get the green light for a sequel then we’ll have 51 ways to make sure Alan Wake 2 kicks the doors down on the shadows and the public!  So give us a call.

What say you out there?  Have you played Alan Wake?  If so, what did you think?  And if not, why not?

  4. Play in style with Catalyst covers!

cat•a•lyst – somebody or something that makes a change happen or brings about an event.”

You know we like to game here at FiftyOne and well some of us like to game with a little bit of flare and style.  (me, that’s who)

When I say that I haven’t had a cover for my Nintendo DSi XL that was filled as much awesome sauce as the one from CM4′s Catalyst line, it’s no exaggeration.  It’s a pretty sturdy, high quality case and it’s only one in a family that premium experience brand CM4 has designed.  The Catalyst line includes covers for the Nintendo Wii Remote™ with MotionPlus, Nintendo DSi™, Nintendo DSi XL™, and the Sony PSP®go.

Each product on the Catalyst line offers an experience tailored specifically to gamers.

“Our customers have created a particular lifestyle aesthetic and the Catalyst line of covers amplifies that lifestyle.  The controllers and handhelds you use will never be the same.” -Jon Ray, Director of Marketing, CM4.

Both the covers and their packaging have been specifically designed for a lifestyle change amongst gamers who want better protection for their handheld while also showing off an unmatched style.

Set a trend with Catalyst and make a lifestyle statement with the way you play.  You won’t have to hide when you’re on the train or if company comes over because these covers make your inner geek stand out in style.

Let me know here or @whatis51 if you’re a handheld/Wii MotionPlus owner.
